A 19th c. double handled basket in original teal blue paint.
 
Constructed entirely of ash wood with a 16-spoke base and double coiled rim. Two tapered hand carved handles are interwoven at its rim framework and woven into the weavers.
 
Esthetically pleasing in form with a generously sized interior. Very iconic in design echoing true quality crafstmanship of 19th New England basket making.
 
Retains richly colored teal blue pigmented paint with an old, worn varnish.
 
Super original condition with a pleasing, minimally worn surface.
