19th c. Redware Cup

A 19th c. redware handled cup.

Potted in a profile similar to that of canning jars with a wide mouth and tapered shape but features an applied handle with a single raised rib. Glazed in a vibrant mustard color with a single large swab of orange in the front.

Remains in overall very good original condition with a few minor rim flakes being consistent with age and use. Displays beautifully.

Vermont or eastern New York in origin. Ca. 1830-1860. 4 1/2"T.
