Pair of Carvings
A 20th c. pair of carvings of what can be interpreted as a rural husband and wife made from two bodies of pine wood.
Finely carved with emphasis on a soft and subdued expression. Each bust retains its original coat of black paint now finely aged with quality color and environmental anomalies.
Both survive in excellent original condition. Northeast or Midwest. Ca. 1920. 4"T.
