19th. C. gameboard in original olive brown paint with black checkering. The reverse side features original paints in oyster, black and red. Original brass hinge and small T nail construction. Excellent overall as-descended condition. CT origin. 1825-1850. 14" x 14 3/4".
Note: This board comes with an early set of 19th C. checkers constructed from cut hickory. Black pieces are in original paint and the opposing pieces are in an oyster paint/wash. Set is complete and came with the board.
