A diminutive sized sloop and steamboat diorama encased in their original shadow boxes. Both retain a wonderful as-descended finished surface showing evidence of no disturbance. Both pieces feature dyed cotton representing oceanfront. Each model is hand painted in multicolored paints. Wonderful sizes of Excellent condition. New England ca. 1840. 10"W x 7 1/2"T x 2 1/2"D.
