19th C. butter churn in original dry blue paint. Iron band construction with pine staved body and poplar dasher. Original as-descended condition and surface. Stamped "C & A Wilder So. Hingham, Mass" on the bottom of body. For anyone unfamiliar with Hingham cooper history, in 18th and 19th C. New England, Hingham was the capitol of woodenware producing beautiful examples in many forms. Ca. 1830. 22"T, 39"T Overall.
