Late 19th c. Native American basket in a steiking array of original multi-colored bands. Delicate, small size at 7 1/4" x 4 1/2"D x 4 1/4"T. Although small, this basket immediately draws attention with color arrangement and vibrancy. MINT original condition with a fabulous oxidized surface and retains a paper liner on the inside bottom with some legible text refering to political information with the last date at 1880. The best for color, condition and size. Northeast origin, possibly Maine or VT. Ca. 1880-1900.
