Early pipe box in original red paint. Pine wood with a tall backboard and gentle upswing. Pine wood with hand forged iron nails. An unusual form. Retains a fabulous undisturbed surface with wear consistent with age and use. Northeast origin. Ca. 1790-1820. 18"T x 6"W.
