A 19th C. hanging candle box in original pewter colored paint. Pine wood with early iron nail joining. Features a nicely shaped backboard with a larger hanging hole. Original tiny drawn iron hinges long since replaced with face mounted iron hinges giving good aesthetic appearance. Very good as-descended condition with an exceptional surface, undisturbed and historic. Northeast origin. Ca. 1830. 11"T
