19th c. Miniature Pantry Box

A 19th c. miniature pantry box in original finish.

Constructed in fine manner from black ash wood with a pine wood top and bottom. The body and lid feature intricate lap joints consisting of multiple points of interest: a large overhang of joinery, finely produced stitching reinforcement and sophisticated construction. Each pine wood disc is secured with tiny wooden pins and retain original makers marks such as compass marks and heavily chamfered edges.

Small pantry boxes such as this were commonly produced with less intricacies in their construction elevating this box into a more sophisticated category.

Remainsnin superlative original condition with ideal as-descended surface characteristics.
