Constructed from the solid with white walnut being its chosen component for material and carved with a large eating basin worn faborably on its proper left side due to right-handed use.
In typical fashion, a spline was carved into its handle on the reverse adding rigidity and strength. The handle terminates with a block shaped profile of an animal, heavily reducted in its form.
Likely used as a serving ladle during feats or potlucks, serving food from the main bowl.
Remains in very good original condition. Wood surface characteristics are ideal showing patina, oxidation, coloring from human hands and signs of use.
