19th c. Powder Flask

A 19th c. wooden powder flask in original brown paint.

Constructed from the solid and cut in half to form two halves. The interior of each half was hollowed accordingly and painstakingly and glued together. A brass wire was generously wrapped around its neck, reinforcing the wooden stopper insertion.

Remains in excellent as-descended condition with wear being expected of its age and use and retains its original owoden stopper.

Northeast origin. Ca. 1830. 6 1/4"T.
