19th c. Spice Drawers
A set of 19th c. spice drawers in original finish.
The casing is constructed of walnut wood throughout with a simply shaped and applied bracket base secured with small iron nails. An applied top overhangs with a chamfered and lightly finished edge.
Attractive drawers constructed of pine wood with nailed rabbet joints and chamfered edges envelopes the face. Individual drawers contain gilt colored, hand brushed text corresponding to their individual use with serif accents and swag work.
Remains in superb original condition and contains surface properties of the best kind. Compact, vibrant, useful and historic all describe its best qualities.
