19th c. Utility Box

A 19th c. hanging utility box in original blue paint.

 

Constructed of walnut wood and profiled with an elaborately cutout and pierced design. The upper well and backboard showcase centric circles with vertical and diagonal lines of hand drilled holes. Below its well is attached a small accessory shelf with a nicely scalloped front.

Retains a fabulous robins egg blue painted surface with historic elements present and remains in an excellent state of preserved condition.

Displays beautifully commanding attention for its bold profile and wonderfully punctual color.

Presents boldly with a 28"T profile.

Pennsylvania origin. Ca. 1860-1875.
