A charming early wooden firkin in original red paint. 
Constructed in a charming small size at a mere 8"T. Crafted by a white cooper of pine wood with a pine wood base and lid. The utilization of black ash was used for its lid fence and interlocking bands. An applied ash wood handle of thin and tall proportions is mated to its body with wooden pins. 
Original red paint remains in very good original condition with light historical use, an uncommon trait amongst early firkins, especially in desirable sizes. 
Remains in overall excellent structural condition and retains a pleasing surface.
