Early Muffineer
A late 18th or early 19th c. wooden muffineer in original surface.
Turned from soft maple and formed on a pole lathe in a vasiform profile with a flat base and hollowed interior.
A refined and sprightly turned filling cap adorns the top and is made of animal bone. Five centered holes on its top are surmounted by decorative incised rings.
Remains in excellent as-descended condition with fine surface elements remaining visible.
