Homemade Brush Holder
An early 20th c. hanging brush holder in original varnish finish.
Constructed and upcycled from a cigar box in the early 20th c. The backboard is joined with small iron brads and showcases an endearing heart shape cutout accentuated with a scalloped top. Frontal ledgers are secured with brass tacks.
An inscription on its reverse in ink reads "Made by poor old dad when I was a little girl".
Retains a beautifully aged coat of varnish which has aged gracefully with historical values and crazing. Excellent original condition.
